Snowy

I have always wanted to have a dog, more so, I have always wanted a pet that was white and fluffy.  Snowy was just what I was looking for.  She is a miniature American Eskimo and my baby for 2 years.

I got her when she was just a puppy, 8 weeks old.  She was the most adorable thing in the world!  The only female of her litter.  The rest of them were males, and all very rambunctious.  She seemed 'polite', subdued, elegant, lady-like, tranquil, mild-mannered.  I liked that in her, and bought her from a nice family breeder.

Snowy was the best pet one can ask for.  She was very very smart, and not to mention, cute as a button!  People complimented us about her all the time, and she knew that.  After a bath, she would beg us to take her out for a walk.  She knew she was beautiful, and she wanted to show the everyone in the neighbourhood.  Unfortunately, we had to give her away because of sad circumstances.  I was devastated for months after she left.  But, now, 4 years later, I remember her as a wonderful memory and a part of my childhood.  Here's some pictures of her.

Snowy at 8-weeks old.  No, I wasn't trying to strangle her.  Just that she kept on moving and we couldn't take a decent picture of her standing still.  With her ears all droopy, she looks a bit like a teddy bear.

This is Snowy, when she was about 6 months old.  Her ears became nice and pointy like all well-bred American Eskimos are.  (except for a small flaw on her coat, I might have been able to professionally show her.)  At this stage of her life, she developed a fondness for barking incessantly, and there is a slight frame around her face.  In the middle picture it's especially apparent.  She almost look like a monkey with that face framed so perfectly.

In these pictures Snowy is about 2 years old.  She has grown up to her full adult size, she was aprrox. 16 pounds (I think).  Her coat lost it's baby fluffy fur and became hair-like.  Each piece of "hair" distinct.  Her tail was gorgeous.  It was like a giant fan that she curled on her back.  On the left picture, her coat looks beige just in comparison to the snow.  But, that is where her name came from.
