Earl Haig Commencement --- Class of 2000

This year's Commencement/Graduation was held as usual at The Ford Centre for the Performing Arts on June 29, 2000.  It has been like that for quite a few years now.  Because the graduating classes are always so big, there would be no way to fit everyone in our shabby auditorium, hehe, so, having it at the Ford Centre was a MUCH better idea.

Although this was my graduation night, I did not sit with other graduates in the audience, rather, I was up on the stage with the Orchestra.  We also play the same sappy music every year, the ones that sound like funeral dirges.  But, I'm glad I was sitting with the Orchestra instead of below with my friends, because Doc was retiring this year, and I would have liked to be there for his last time conducting all of us.  He has meant so much to me in the past 3 years, that the school would not be the same without him here.  Eventhough, I'm leaving too, it's really sad to know that he won't be there in the same strings room anymore.

On a brighter note, the rest of the ceremonies went by fast~ Phew! That was definitely a relief, since I didn't really like the validictory address (sorry Kara, if you see this, chances are slim though).  For the rest of the evening, everyone went back to the school for refreshments and some last good-byes.  For most people that night, it might really be the last time I see them.  Well, I went through this last year when I had to say bye to most of my friends, so, it's not as bad this year.

Commencement = a beginning, a start....this is the 1st day of the rest of our lives.

P.s.  Eugene, sorry, I didn't put that picture of us up, hehe, I really didn't like how my face turned out after scanning it.... >_< so, it's not like I did it on purpose!

This was me giving my card to
Mr. ___ I really don't know his name!  Our city Counsellor udy Codd gave me my Diploma.

This is a picture I took with my Dad outside of the Hall.

This is ME (duh) outside the Hall.

This picture was taken with my Mom after the ceremonies and when everyone were getting ready to head to the school.  People say we look alike a lot....do we really??

This was back at the cafe, there were lots of food, and drinks.  This pic was taken with a good friend of mine, Ray.   Hey all the best at Western, eh! I know you'll be great!

This is a pic I took with one of our Algeo/Calc math geniuses, hahaha, me and Dennis always talk about weird algeo questions in Chamber, that drives Doc MAD. hahaha...

This is a few of the girls graduating this year.  (L-R, Wendy, Me, Shirley, Christina/Amy) Only "Amy" is one of "The Girls".  Amy, looks like we're the last ones outta here!  Don't you worry, the people at UT are going to love you! You know that we all do already.

Here we have some school friends from this year.
L-R: Michael (mighty Joe, hahaha), Christina (Amy, hahha), Mark, shirley, Carol, Vincent, Jack, Charles, and Moi.
